Anish Kanjilal, born on June 23, 1976, in Kolkata, India, is an acclaimed Indian author and poet whose work explores the profound facets of human existence. Growing up in Kolkata, a city renowned for its literary heritage, Kanjilal was immersed in an environment that nurtured his literary inclinations. His educational journey began at St. Mary’s School and continued through Vidyasagar College, Calcutta University (C.U.), and Indira Gandhi National University (I.G.N.O.U), culminating in a Postgraduate Diploma in Communication and programming from S.T.G.
Anish Kanjilal is like one of us. He weeps in anger, laughs in pain and goes to work everyday. He teaches English and likes to read. But, there is one thing he cannot do like us – he cannot compromise with the world around him – so he composes poetry.
Anish Kanjilal (born 23rd June 1976 ) is an Indian author. He is known for his book FATELESS 13 ( published 2015 ). Anish was born in Kolkata and grew up in the city of joy. He is an alumnus of ST . MARY’S school , VIDYASAGAR COLLEGE , C.U , I.G.N.O.U and S.T.G. He is currently DIRECTOR & SENIOR LECTURER AT E.T.I KOLKATA. He was HONOURED for his contributions BY RAJASTHAN PATRIKA in 2009.
“What is a poet? An unhappy man who hides deep anguish in his heart, but whose lips are so formed that when the sigh and cry pass through them, it sounds like lovely music…. And people flock around the poet and say: ‘Sing again soon’ – that is… It may be selfish to say this but, ‘May new sufferings torment your soul but your lips be fashioned as before, for the cry would only frighten us, but the music, that is blissful.
